A Christ-centered homeschool collective.
What we are
A co-op, and a community.
Families who homeschool carry the whole weight of their children’s education. A co-op does not lift that responsibility away — it comes alongside it. At O.A.R. parents remain the teachers of their own children, and the collective adds weekly classes, shared instruction, discipleship, and the kind of friendships that make a long year lighter.
Alongside the co-op, O.A.R. hosts activities and family events for the wider homeschool community. Some of those gatherings are open to homeschool families who are not enrolled with us.
Our Christian identity is not a section of this page. It is the reason the collective exists, and it shapes what is taught, how children are corrected and encouraged, and what we hope they carry out of here.

Four quarters, September to May
The year runs in four quarters — six co-op Mondays, then seven, seven and eight — so families can plan around a known rhythm.

Classes rotate every quarter
Worship opens the day and Bible follows it every week. The two afternoon classes change at each quarter break, so a year covers real ground without losing continuity.

Two age groups
Students are grouped K–4th and 5th–12th, so the day fits where a child actually is.

A Christian worldview
Every subject is taught from a Christ-centered perspective — not a separate lesson, but the ground under all of them.
Classes this year

What we believe
Obedient. Anchored. Redeemed.
The name is the conviction. Each word carries a passage of Scripture that shapes how we teach and how we live together.
Obedient
James 1:22
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only…”
A faith that is studied but never lived stays theory. We want children who hear God's word and then move — willing hands, honest work, obedience practiced on ordinary days rather than admired from a distance.
Anchored
Hebrews 6:19
“We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul…”
Every generation has its currents, and they pull hard. A child anchored in truth can hold in them — not rigid, but rooted, knowing what is true and Who is holding them when the water turns rough.
Redeemed
Ephesians 1:7
“In him we have redemption through his blood…”
Neither effort nor obedience is what saves. Everything taught here leads back to the cross, where grace is given freely — the beginning of the story, never the reward at the end of it.

To cultivate a Christ-centered homeschool community that raises children who are obedient in faith, anchored in truth, and redeemed through Christ—equipped to live with purpose, conviction, and unity.

What a year with us looks like.

Academic classes
Weekly classes that come alongside what parents already teach at home. Shared instruction, shared load — and the parent still the teacher of their own children.

Christian discipleship
Scripture is not a slot in the timetable. It is the ground everything else stands on, and it shapes how children here are taught and encouraged.

Friendship and community
Homeschooling goes better shared. Children build real friendships across the ages, and parents find people walking the same road.

Fun Fridays and family events
Activities, spirit weeks and Fun Fridays — something to look forward to together, and a reason for the wider community to meet us.
